Every Thursday after lunch we go to room 3 for technology.

We go there to have fun and try new things (e.g) making playdough, canvas art etc. These activities are what I think is to create a spark to give us an idea about what our passion is.

These past weeks we have been with Ms. Ashley and Ms. Tuella we swap so the first 2 weeks we are with miss Tuella in room 3 and then the other two weeks we are making stuff in the library with miss Ashley.

Have you been on a stage before performing?

I am on the stage now I see heaps of camera’s flashing.  I smell baby oil as if someone used the whole bottle.I feel nervous. I hear people cheering for me like their wild animals saying get away from my cage.I can feel the lipstick, making it’s way down my throat. YUCK!.

Now it’s all over.I think that i’m confident to stand on a stage now. Are you?

Polyfest Reflection:

The k.c. skills I used during this event was relating well to others by showing positive attitude towards my classmates and teachers.

The k.c. skill I need to work on is thinking and using my common sense e.g. not waiting for the teacher to tell me what to do.

Dialogue learning story

I was good at thinking about the words I could use because I was thinking what could go with the actions that each character was doing.

I was also good at choosing good sentence starters to start a sentence

The new thing for me was being able to finish it and going back and reading all the hard work that i’ve done

I got better at involving the character more

It was hard to think of what each character was going to say when I was writing  

The key competency I used was thinking because when I was writing I was thinking of what to write

The key competency I could've used was focusing because if I was focused then I would of got more done then I did get done

My next steps are to add more detail to my dialogue to let my reader know more about what is happening.

Poly fest Review:

Logan: Who cares man,she won’t care. She’s just looking out the window like a clueless person.

Mysteeq's Maths learning story

Philomena and June are having a competition to see who can hop, skip, and jump the farthest Philomena reckons she'll win because she is the fastest and can get the best run up, but June reckons it will be her because her legs are longer. Which of them is right and by how much did they win?

Philomena won 2 games and the first game she won bye 12.00 then she won another one and she won by 7.00 points and that means her total score was 19.00 and then June won 1 game and she got 14.00 points so that means philomena won by 0.05 points.

Philomena hopped 1.01 skipped .97 and jumped 1.57

June hopped .89, skipped 1.11 and jumped 1.5

First, my group added all Philomena's scores  1.01 +0.97 + 1.57 = 3.55

And then we added June's score 0.89 + 1.11 + 1.5 = 3.50

So that means Philomena beat June by 0.05

P.E learning story

In P.E we have been learning how to help ourselves and others.That means we have to share the ball, communicate and find a way not only to win but also have a lot of fun as well.

Then we had to test our skills in 1 activity . That one activity was dodge ball. In dodge ball we realised our teammates were getting out fast. We had 2 rounds, the first round we lost  because we weren't working together and people were hogging the balls. But the second round we had a strategy and people didn’t get out fast but we still lost by a bit.

When we were playing dodge ball I was good at giving people advice for example (catch the ball so they can get out faster). That was  making our team not get out that  fast.I think that helped my team because they were listening to the advice and doing it as well.

I was good at giving helpful instructions because I was  explaining what I did step by step so my team gets a fair idea how to play the game.

Mysteeq's market learning story

As I take my first step I smell delicious food coming up my nose it was like I was dreaming.

As I walked closer and closer I could see the burning sun shine on me.I Could see yummy food in people's hands. It looked so yummy. I could sprint up to the person grab the food off them and just eat it.

As I walked passed people I could hear the delicious sound of yummy food in there mouths.I could hear a bunch of kids screaming at their parents just to get them food it was so annoying they were screaming for ever.

When my parents brought me a roti I grabbed it and said “thanks” I bit it and I could taste some yummy vegetables with some beef on the side as well as the veggies.

I could feel the cool breeze brushing my legs as I was walking.It was so nice I didn't want to walk any longer I could just sit on the chair and feel the breeze hit me like there was no tomorrow.

I felt happy after I ate my food it was delicious hope you get to go to the market some time later.

As I take my first step I can hear the crowd cheering

For Stan Walker. It was like I was dreaming.

As I was wondering around with my family. I could see signs saying this ride or bouncing castle or sausage sizzle is for free for anyone. I thought it was amazing and so kind.

As I was walking past  kids and their mums I could hear them crying for some delicious food it was so annoying hearing them cry just for food. But I also felt sad for them because their mums or dads didn’t buy them any food.

When I was walking closer and closer to the food stores I could smell some delicious food ohh it smelt delicious.It was like I could run up to someone and take their food off them and just munch it down my throat of how delicious it smelt.

As I was thinking of what to eat I was annoyed because I didn’t know what to eat but when I thought about It I  thought about what I liked and finally I got what I wanted. Then I got it and I ate it when I finished. My dad called out to me and said“Time to go home now kids” And we said “ok dad”.As we were walking to the car to go home I wish we didn’t have to leave but we just had to.

Hi  my name  is Mysteeq.But most of my friends and family call me Steeq. I'm named after my great nana.My middle name is Makerita.It is so special to me because my nana that I got named after passed on.

My ethnicity is Samoan I love my culture because it represents where i'm from and who I really am.I am 10 years old I go to Corinna School and I am in year six student.

I participate and contribute in a lot of things at my school for example sports.Good Thursday  drumming, kapa haka, polyclub and most of all class learning.So that means I  like participating in a lot of things.  

In my family we have 2 sisters and 2 brothers including me. In my house my brothers are really loud and they always get smart and annoy me.

In the house my least favorite room is my Brothers room because they go crazy and they go all over the place like some monkeys.
