Mysteeq’s Digital Tech Learning Story

Just because something doesn't do what you planned it to do doesn't mean it’s useless.

In digital tech The type of tools you use are ipads.
During bee bots we use the ipads on the I pads you
can control what the beebot does and you can make
it do what you want it to.While using scratch you can
create different games and you can create different
movements with a small character.

I want you to know that I am good at instructing the
bee bots to follow a certain path, The path we had was
about a hangi. I was also good at working in a group.

A new skill that I learnt was controlling a bot using an
ipad and showing that I can coordinate where the bot should go.

The hardest thing for me was knowing how to work
the bee bots because it was something new for me
but it didn’t stop learning how to use it. 

The key competency I used the most was relating
to others and managing self because I was asking
others if they needed help and making sure they were
doing the right thing at the right time in the right place.

My next steps are to make meaning because I want to
be able to make what I learnt stuck in my head for the next
time I did bee bots because I will have knowledge and I will
know what to do.



Mysteeq’s Visual Arts Inquiry Learning Story Term 4 2019



During my inquiry process, I wanted to create something that
will tell a message in some way. I was thinking of making a sculpture
of two men, one dark man and one light man I was thinking of making the
light man put a gun to the dark one then put a big X on the top of my picture.


I want you to know that I was good at finding out because as I was working
In wanted to know exactly about racism and why or how it started.
To do this I went to the library to find a book about racism and I found one
by the name of “Racism and Intolerance”.


The key competency I used well-managing myself because I wanted to get my
work done and I wanted to complete the project that I wanted to complete.
I was also good at managing myself because I chose to sit in the right place.


I want you to know I found it hard to taking action because
I didn’t quite get to the part where I start what I wanted to do.
I think I didn’t get to that part because I wasn't
that focused on what I needed to do,
I was more focused on my plan and what it was going to look like.


My next steps are to make it further and to take action because I wanted to
make my design because I wanted to get my message clear so that people know
what I think and feel.








Mysteeq's Reading Learning Story 2019


Meet Joe Spud, the richest twelve year-old in the world.
Joe has everything he could ever want: his own Formula one racing car, a thousand pairs of trainers, even a orange-utan for a butler.


When I choose a library book I make sure that the book is the right book for me so I do different things to check if it is. I do the five finger rule so I grab the book read about 3 or 4 pages then if I don't know what a word means then I put one finger up and at the end of 3 or 4 pages if I have 1 finger it's too easy for me, If I have 5 fingers it’s too hard but if I have 3 it’s just the right book for me.

I like reading this book because I like funny and entertaining books and I’ve read a David Walliams book before and I know that he is a funny and he is an entertaining writer. I also like this book because there are different emotions for example; one second Joe Spud is happy then another second he is very sad.

My book is called “Billionaire Boy” by David Walliams.It is a fiction book because it is a made up story and they are not real people.
I located information so I found out that Joe Spud had everything he wanted but the only thing he didn’t have that he wanted the most was friends.I also located information that Joe Spud was really rich but he didn’t like telling people he was rich.

I inferred and I found out that the reason Joe doesn't want to tell people that he is rich and has everything is because people might use him for his money and might just be his friend so that he can just buy them stuff then they will just betray him and not be his friend because they got what they wanted.

I evaluated that the family is so rich that Joe had to be on the highest level as possible because his dad said that he has to be at the top of everything because they are rich and the dad is trying to show that off but Joe is trying to keep it a secret.


Mysteeq's Maths Learning Story

Maths is not about numbers, equations, Multiplication, subtraction it’s about understanding what you’re doing.


In a maths group, there are many different ways to solve a tricky probably.
The way I like solving my problems is by talking.
I think that is my favorite because if you don't
talk to a maths group you won't have any ideas or you will get nowhere with the problem.





Manusiu has 20 meters of material to make some tupenu for her family.
Each tupenu needs 1.5 meters of material. 

How many can she make?


First, we knew that 1.5m was one tupenu so then we multiplied
1.5m by 10 tupenu so we knew it made 15m. So 10 tupenu made 15m.
We know that we need to get to 20m so we multiplied 1.5m by 2 and it made
3m so 10 tupenu makes 15m so 13 tupenu made 18m. So we knew that we needed
2 more to make 20m but for 1 tupenu there was only 1.5 so we knew it wouldn't
make 20 exact. Then we added 1.5 to 18m to make one more tupenu. So 19.5m
made 14 tupenu.

I am good at explaining my ideas to my group so that they know what I a
m trying to do. I can also share back really confidently with my whole maths group.


The Key Competencies I used well in maths are participating and contributing
because I always share my ideas so it can spark off ideas from other people in my group. 


I want you to know that I need to work on telling people in my group to stay focused
more because sometimes I just let them be, and I just carry on with my work. 


The key competencies that will help me next time are Relating to others because
if I relate to others then I will be able to tell people to stay on the waka or stay on board.

Mysteeq’s Writing Learning Story 2019

 We can create a moment in time by using language that’s right for the moment so for e.g if you were talking about it you would say “I FELT so scared” but if you were talking about you at the moment you would say “I FEEL so scared”.




Mysteeq’s Polyfest Journey
I'm Nervous and scared just waiting for my time to shine.


As I’m walking through the hallway to get to the changing rooms to get
my uniform on Im just thinking about what’s gonna happen
when I'm out on stage performing. I can tell everyone
else was nervous because all I can hear is “Omg, it's almost our
turn to perform I'm scared”.
As I’m hearing that I'm thinking
the same but worse I’m having the
worst thoughts you could have
just before a performance: What if I
do the actions wrong?
What if I forget what to do on stage?
What if I don’t know the
words to the songs?.


As I'm lining up to get on stage for my time to shine I'm already
hearing the crowd saying things like
“Omg their uniforms look amazing”
or “What is the color of their top half or bottom half”.
Hearing those things I can taste the sweat coming down my face
into my
mouth because of how nervous I am. I can feel the butterflies
flying around in my stomach as the crowd starts cheering,
I can see other people nervous by how much they’re moving.


As the leaders start to sing,
I’m beginning to become more nervous and
more nervous by the second.
As I'm going out the corridors towards the
stage I'm starting to think about the things that
can go wrong:What if We don’t sing loud enough,
We can’t remember what order our items go into,
what actions we have to do.


FLASH goes the light shining on me like the sun on a hot day.
I’m already on stage, there’s no backing out of it now, as I’m
performing I see that my parents and family are cheering me on,
I hear the crowd cheering for us as we’re performing,
I feel the sweat still coming down my face,
I’m thinking to myself this isn't as bad as
I thought it was going to be.


As it’s the end of my performance I'm thinking
that's the best thing I've ever participated in, in my whole life”
and I'm happy I made up for all the things I was feeling and
thinking at the start.


Reflection:
I am good at making the reader reflect on what they do or feel when
I asked myself those questions like “what if I do the actions wrong?”
or “what if I forget the words to the song?”.


I am also good at using similes, precise words
(nervous, participated) to sound like an expert,
and dialogue to help my reader feel like they’re
there.


I need to work on proofreading carefully so that I can make
sure that there are capital letters and full-stops in between every sentence.

Mysteeq's Helen Keller Snapshot of learning.

Have you ever wondered what it will feel like to not be able to see, or even hear?
Well, this cute little girl named Helen Keller had that same problem.
When Helen Keller was nineteen months old she had a sickness that could have killed her but surprisingly she survived but she was deaf and blind but she could speak and read.
If you want to find out how she could read and speak then you will have to read this book.





This is my book trailer for a book I was really interested in, and the learning I've done as I was working was making sure that it was short but had a lot of detail so that my reader could find out more instead of me telling them everything.
I chose to share this with you because I chose a book that was the type I like and I wanted to share it with you because you could have the same opinion as me.

And feeling the ground vibrate beneath my feet.
Smiling and shining like a star.
I’m starting to feel great so far.
 Dancing to the music feeling the rhythm.
Doing the actions that I was given.
